My, How Brian Has Changed

This is one of my favorite pictures of Brian when he was younger. Brian's 17 in this picture (it's from the summer of '98, apparently) and it's him and his buddies from high school. (Thanks to Dave for posting it on Facebook.)

What I think is hilarious is that a group of soon-to-be seniors in high school - guys no less - would get it together to go get matching shirts and then go take a professional picture! And I just found out today (even better) that their shirts all say "Michael Jackson" on them in various fonts and styles. So great.

Brian definitely looks older now, and claims to strongly dislike Michael Jackson (much to my dismay). Enjoy! :)

A Fairytale: 2 Years in the Making

Well, yesterday Brian and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary! This is only a drop in the bucket compared to the 60 years my grandparents have been married, but in this day and age, 2 years is an accomplishment, too!
I am so, so, SO glad to be married to Brian. He and I are M.F.E.O. in every way. ("Made for each other" - see "Sleepless in Seattle".) I love him and our little family so mucho. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...being married to the man of your dreams is awesome!

Our wedding dinner on September 9, 2005. And our marriage locale in the background.

Moments after officially getting married! Isn't my dress awesome? That's was my second favorite thing about that day...marrying Brian was obviously the first.

To celebrate, Brian and I dropped Wes off with some friends for a couple hours for his first (and theirs, actually) babysitting experience. So how'd our perfect child do? He cried 2 of the 3 hours...wouldn't eat and wouldn't sleep. We got there and he was crying, he fussed a bit on the way home, and by the time we got home...he was just fine! I didn't think kids could have separation anxiety so young...but he seemed not to like being away from us and in a new place. Our friends were good sports though...they said they'd be happy to try it again! :)

As for me and Brian, we had a great time sans Wes. We went to eat at a place called Asiago. Yummy Italian! Then we played games at Gameworks, bought a $4 flick at Blockbuster, and then got some cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory to go. We had a great time strolling along and holding hands like old times (without a stroller and diaper bag). But, we're always happy to see our little smiling Wes again! Since he does smile for us!
