La Segunda

Yesterday Brian and I found out we are going to have a GIRL! "La Segunda" as we like to call her is due October 11, 2008. She and Wes (who was known as "007" when he was in the womb) are going to be just shy of 18 months apart (just like my 2 older sisters)!

And since you're wondering (because everyone does), we did want our kids close together and we do know how babies are made, thank you very much. Please don't tell us we're brave or anything like it (it feels condescending).

We're very excited - especially now that we have a moment to breathe and imagine our little life with Wes and his little sister!

1. What is his name? Brian Dell Hanks

2. Who eats more? He does...he has "Brian-sized pieces" and I have "Natalie-sized pieces".

3. Who said I love you first? He did, for sure.

4. Who is taller? Brian is...luckily!

5. Who is smarter? It depends on the topic...I'm definitely a debate winner, but hello, have you seen the books he reads (and how many)? Yah, he's a smartie for sure!

6. Who is more sensitive? Honestly, it's a toss-up. We both get our feelings hurt really easily, but we're working on that.

7. Who does the laundry? Usually me unless I take too long to do it, then Brian steps in. And he's started doing his own ironing.

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Brian.

9. Who pays the bills? I do! (Even though he's the finance man, but I enjoy it...it runs in my family.)

10. Who cooks more? I do for sure, but I don't mind. I like making stuff up and trying new things.

11. What meals do you cook together? Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup and then sometimes stuff like pancakes.

12. Who is more stubborn? I guess that's probably me, but Brian has his moments too.

13. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? Well, since I'm always right...Brian has to be the 1st to admit he's wrong. But I'm trying to get better at not being right all the time.

14. Who is more clean? It depends on the day, moment, and year. When we were first married, it was me for sure, now we have kind of started meeting in the middle.

15. Who has more siblings? Brian by one.

16. Who wears the pants in the relationship? We both wear pants, but mostly I wear jeans.

17. What do you like to do together? Watch movies, go on walks, watch American Idol and/or O'Reilly Factor, laugh at Wes... :)

18. Who eats more sweets? Brian for sure. He's addicted to chocolate.

19. Guilty pleasures? Brian: M&Ms or electronics (iPod, laptop, car stereos, etc.); Natalie: ice cream (or anything "cream") or sleeping.

20. How did you meet? BYU ward choir.

21. Who asked who out first? Brian...over text message. But I was SO excited.

22. Who kissed who first? He kissed me...after painting my toenails. :)

23. Who proposed? Brian, of course.

24. His best features? Hmmm...I like the way his muscles look in fitted polos. He has great blue eyes, too. But pretty much, I just think he's attractive.

25. What is his greatest quality? He's driven and he works hard to accomplish everything he sets his mind up to do.
