Some of you may know that September 19th is National Talk Like a Pirate Day. Well, while at Sydney's ballet class that morning, a mom mentioned that if you talked like a pirate at Krispy Kreme, you'd get a free doughnut. However, if you dressed like a pirate you'd get a free dozen doughnuts! Well, these are the moments stay-at-home moms live for (at least I do): some random event that the kids will have fun doing that's free!

| Meet Jake and Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Oddly enough, we have zero pirate-type costumes so we had to make do with what I could find. |
| We let the kids pick out two doughnuts and Brian and I picked out the rest. Turns out Brian and I can't actually finish eight doughnuts between us before they go bad. |
| We had Brian come along since he can do random stuff like that on his lunch break since he works from home. |
| Later that night, we changed from our pirate gear and celebrated our anniversary (9 days late) by going out to dinner and going to see Les Miserables with Mike and Jennie. Shout out to Aunt Becky (and Uncle Terry) for watching the kids for our late night out! Thanks so much! |
