Random Pictures from March 2014

Here are the random pictures from March 2014.

The kids were digging for worms in PJs at 9am on Saturday. Right after I took this picture Ruth put a handful of dirt in her mouth. Yum!

Sydney as Horton. We went to Barnes and Noble for the Dr. Seuss birthday party.

They had a ton of fun - and free - activities for the kids to do!

Ruth even got to pet the therapy dogs. She LOVES dogs.

Family picture!

Ruth playing in the garage with a tennis racket and ball.

Indoor hopscotch!

A note Wes left for Brian. Total awesomeness.

Brian got the kids a special science kit where they had to find the hidden rocks and crystals.

Great Grandma Ruth and Baby Ruth.

Ruth started folding her arms during our dinner prayer. Seriously, one of the cutest things ever. Never underestimate the power of example! She also claps when we say "amen". Not sure where she learned that one though.

Brian lifting a big heavy weight at CrossFit.

Wes' second day of riding the bus to school. The day before, I was too flustered to remember to take a picture. After I put him on the bus the first day, I also realized I never verified it was actually going to North Star so I followed it to the next stop. Of course I was just being paranoid and everything was fine and he did great!

In his first week at his new school, Wes was involved in the 1st grade assembly about Honesty. He did great!

One of the days I look forward to most at the end of winter…first signs of spring!

Ruth with little pigtails.

Sydney has become aware of the opportunity to win money and prizes from contests. She built this ship to enter the Lego Magazine contest. I actually never sent in the entry... I think it's been forgotten though!

Ruth was grabbing the tops off the beets and eating them. She loves green food!

Sydney had a preschool field trip to a greenhouse. I loved all the beautiful hydrangeas!

Brian and I played marbles with Wes last night. Sometimes simple things can make a kid feel special.

Ruth was more than content to push this stroller around all day. She only stopped for stuffed animals.

For some unknown reason, her favorite thing to get out of the pantry is corn starch. Her second favorite thing is vegetable oil.

The kids' first entrepreneurial effort: selling rocks from our yard for $2 a piece. They did have a buy 2 get 1 free deal going though! They did this completely on their own. And to reward their efforts, Brian bought 2 rocks (and 1 free) but negotiated for a quarter and a Mini Egg for each kid.

We went on a Sunday family walk around the block. No scooters or strollers. It was a bit bright out for Ruth. :)

Ruth was really loving her asparagus at lunch. Seriously, this girl will eat anything!

Sydney volunteered to mop the floor this night. Seriously, she's such a great helper.

Ruth and cousin Ruby playing in the ball pit. They had a great time together even though they're 17 months apart.

Ruth went with me to my doc appointment one morning. She thought she was such a big kid sitting in this chair all by herself.

Finally! We weren't be the only people in America that hadn't seen Frozen.

Kind of just thought this was a sweet outfit Wes put together.

Tried a double pony in Ruth's hair one day. The daily bangs/mullet combo is a new one for me. Sydney went straight to a 'fro.

Brian was out of town and surprised me with my first Edible Arrangement today. I'll take fresh fruit over flowers any day!
