Well, someday I'll have to post about my Disney World trip with my mom and my sisters. However, apparently that's not going to be today. I was halfway through finishing post #1 and somehow I erased the whole post and couldn't get it back! Frustration station! So, moving on...
I've noticed that a lot of my pictures are now more random in nature instead of one event. I tend to take pics for Facebook or Instagram with my phone instead of event pictures for my blog. So, now my blog will be a bunch of random pictures generally posted elsewhere first. (Maybe that's why I'm so far behind on my blog!)
So, here are some random pictures from our first week of summer!
| The kids started dancing to Pandora on the TV while I fed Ruth. It was fun entertainment. Sydney's really into pop songs as of late. Especially One Direction's "You Don't Know You're Beautiful". We even heard her singing it at the top of her lungs while going to the bathroom the other day! |
| I don't know what's with Sydney's crazy face, but I think Ruth's reaction is appropriate. :) |
| Wes' turn to hold Ruth. She still looks unsure about it. |
| My three kiddos. Ruth is 3 1/2 months in these pictures. |
| We started a new last day of school tradition: go to the bookstore and pick a new book! (Even if it costs more than it would on Amazon.) Even Ruth got a book for all of her hard work growing in my tummy and be born during this school year. |
| On Saturday, the day after we bought new books at the bookstore, we went to some garage sales and bought more books including some Disney classics as well as the entire Harry Potter series in new condition. |
| Brian doing his dadly duties and feeding a sleepy Ruth. |
| The first week of summer I did a theme with the kids of "Around the World in 80 Days". In this picture they are playing memory with Spanish color cards while I fed Ruth. They had a blast with all of their activities. |
| Fancy spit up all over the mom! |
| We went outside to play some soccer in honor of Mexico. |
| For FHE, we went to the elementary school to play kickball. |
| Ruth was Brian's kickball helper. |
| I made churros, but Wes wasn't feeling well so only Sydney ate them (and Brian and me, of course). Then Wes threw up. Then Sydney threw up the next day. |
| Wes spent the 2nd day of summer vacation in the bathroom next to the toilet. Sydney stayed on the couch. |
| By Wednesday, they were feeling well enough to make a "trip" to England. We made an edible castle. |
| Random pic of a cute Ruth! |
| We did a science experiment using eggs to mimic teeth (since the Brits are know for poor dental hygiene). It didn't work as well as I had hoped, but the kids still enjoyed it! |
| Little Ruth getting stronger! |
| On Thursday, we "went" to France and the kids painted "Starry Night" outside. |
| Sydney was super excited to join Wes at gymnastics for the summer. |
| Wes and Sydney being silly. I love the natural happiness of this picture. |
| Sometimes I use my camera to take pictures of Ruth so I know if her eyes are open or closed when she's laying on my shoulder. Eyes were open, but she was definitely looking tired. |
