It's official! Sydney Lyn Hanks was born October 9th, 2008 at 7:05pm. Not only does she have a really cool birthday - 10/9/08 - but she joined us, much to our surprise, on her great grandparents Swensen's 61st wedding anniversary. She was 7 lbs. 6 oz. and 20 inches long.

I'll write the story in the next post, but I thought I'd include a similar picture of Wes below. I think you'll be able tell they're related! :)

Nothing New...

Wes and Brian got haircuts this morning and even though this is Wes' umpteenth haircut (that kid hass got a lot of hair like his parents) I just thought it was a cute picture of my boys.

And now because I have time waiting for this baby to come...I've been tagged...so why not?

24. Missing someone? My family...especially because they were all together over the weekend.

31. Last time you cried? I think it was the day before yesterday...I'm pregnant...pretty much every other day, right?

The Countdown Continues...

We have less than a week left (supposedly) before little Sydney makes her debut. Here are a few pictures from the week...

Wes has become a big fan of Little Einsteins and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (and sometimes Super Why). He looks pretty zoned out watching one of his shows in this picture, but it's often how he wakes up from his nap...with a snack and a show. It actually makes the waking up transition a lot easier on both of us.

I've been trying to enjoy the last few days I have with my baby boy who's not too much of a baby anymore and will soon seem even less like a baby. I decided to document him holding my hand since the older he gets the less cuddle time we'll have (especially since it's already hard to come by with him).

One afternoon I was upstairs getting ready and it got quiet downstairs which can be scary with a toddler. However, when I came down to check on him, he had climbed into his stroller (yep, over the tray table) and was having his snack. :)

It's so nice to have friends! The "MBA Wives" threw me a baby shower on Saturday and it was so nice. Really, I just liked having an excuse to hang out with everyone, but they got me some great gifts too as you can see from the picture above.

Six out of the ten people who were there were wives of MBA students and that's actually a lot of LDS MBAs. We had a fun time! Thanks again ladies! It's nice to feel loved!
