Sydney's 3rd Birthday

On Sunday, October 9th, we celebrated Sydney's 3rd birthday.

She started the morning off with a special (and her favorite) breakfast: Lucky Charms! :)

Then, she got to open one present. An outfit from Wes. Wes was as excited about presents as Sydney. Can you tell?

BFF brother and sister.

Here's Sydney in her church outfit. I made the shirt using freezer paper stenciling. My parents met us at church to spend time with us for Sydney's birthday. They came over after church and we had fondue for "dunch/linner".

After dinner, we did the cake. Brian called it an "M&M encrusted Mickey Mouse cake". Just a few of Sydney's favorite things: Mickey Mouse, M&Ms, pink (frosting and cake), and blue.

For some reason, Sydney started acting shy during the birthday song.

Taking out the candles and then sneaking tastes of M&Ms and frosting!

Present time! It was hard for Wes not open them all for her.

Sydney's really enjoying all of the fun things she got for her birthday, including a tent, a bike, a "treasure box", jewelry, and more.

She got a cute, new bathrobe.

Time to eat the cake! Sydney mostly ate the frosting and M&Ms off the top.

Sydney also got this camera for her birthday. She took over 170 pictures in a few hours. She's taking a picture of me sitting on the stairs.

And here's how it turned out. :)

Then she took a picture of her necklaces.

And here's how that one turned out.

We got her a basketball hoop, too. She's almost tall enough to dunk. :)

The kids enjoyed their play time in our back yard.

We also got her this tent and the kids have had a great time using it for playing, reading, watching shows, and whatever else they come up with!
