Wesley's 8th Birthday

Wes had his 8th birthday on April 16th and his party on the 18th. It was a Minecraft-themed celebration!

I met Wes at school for lunch on his birthday.

We had the Dildine family over the night of Wes' birthday for a small celebration. Wes wanted me to turn this brownie into Magma Cube (character from Minecraft).

Wes wanted his birthday party cake to be a Minecraft Emerald with figurines on it. This is what I came up with.

Most of the kids at the party were from school. It was a successful venture!

My one decoration was a square paper tree and then I set a green table with square plates.

We had square pizzas with square pepperoni and ham.

The birthday boy with some new toys and ready to eat cake! As an aside, he picked the flavor: cookie dough. It turned out well, actually.

Ruth had a grand time at the party as well!

One of the reasons I rarely wear lipstick is because I like to kiss my babies and I don't like it to look like they have a diseases on their faces.

We had a birthday lunch for my sister, Jennie, on April 1st.

After many hours of work (not by me), the kids were thrilled to finally have their Santa present to play on. Ruth could have stayed on the swing all night!

I got everyone to Wes' baseball game and we all survived even though it was cold and I forgot a bottle!

While Brian was gone, I took the kids to get supplies for Wes' birthday party.

We got to see this cool, full rainbow outside our house one night.

I still remember the first time Wes made Sydney laugh. It was such a fun moment for me. Now Claire is starting to react to Ruth. This is why I'm grateful my kids have siblings.

Ruth made a "bed" on the floor and then Sydney joined her. Then they pretended to be asleep. Cute, right?

Claire turned 8-months-old this day and pulled herself up to a standing position for the first time. She is getting so big!

It was Wes' first night of Scouts. He is so excited to be in Scouts. It's a learning adventure for both of us!

Claire enjoyed her watermelon at dinner this day. She could suck on a huge chunk because she still didn't have any teeth.

I told Wes that his topic for FHE was "Endure to the End". He showed me this note that says, "Endor to the End. Endor, a door that leads to the End. Where the Ender dragon live." This made me laugh out loud because it's a Minecraft reference and I thought it was very creative of Wes to come up with that!
