Random Pictures from April 2014

Here are our random pictures from April 2014.

Sent Sydney in the kitchen to get a snack. She's called out that she was having carrots. I had to document the moment since it's a rare one indeed!

Baby in a box!

Pizza picnic at Settlers Park.

Ruth wanted her own piece of pizza. She so thinks she's a big kid.

Best dad ever: helping the kids make Loom Band bracelets on his day off.

We got to see our friends from our time in Seattle. This is baby Wes and Ruth. They're about a month apart.

Wes, Sydney and Troy had a great time playing golf outside.

We walked/scootered the mile to the bus stop one morning. Wes and Sydney wanted me to take a picture of them in front of this sign.

And another picture with the sign.

Ruth loves balls. Even if they're giant.

Ruth happily carried around these crayons for 20+ minutes. She'd drop them and then put them back in. Then take them out and put then all back in again. Who knew crayons and a bin could be so entertaining?

First day of baseball with Coach Hanks!

Wes lost another tooth.

Ruth was super excited to be at the park with Grandpa Hanks!

Grandpa Hanks took the kids on a bike ride.

I made a little marble run out of a pool noodle. It kept the kids entertained for a little while.

Wes bought himself a Betta Fish one day. (Blue thing in the top right corner of the tank.)

Wes lost his other top tooth just before his birthday.

I could not get this picture to crop without it rotating itself. So, it's a far away shot. We picked a few in our ward and then filled 12 plastic Easter eggs with notes about why they were great and some candy and then hid them in their front yard. The kids tried to be sneaky, but were spotted at two of the three houses. Still a great time and probably a new tradition for the FHE before Easter Sunday.

We went to Red Robin one night to get Wes' birthday meal. He seems kind of unsure about the singing.

Ruth found a new place to sit when I had to clean out the space by the washing machine after it started leaking because our kitchen sink had backed up.

Spring is just so beautiful! Sydney really wanted to collect and keep all of these petals that had fallen off a tree. We settled on a picture.

The kids played in a random person's sprinklers on the walk home from the bus stop one day.

Someone's sidewalk chalk art while we were on a walk. I was so impressed, I had to take a picture!

Ruth was giving me the pillows to help me make my bed. It's hard to see from the picture but it was a really big pillow! She is such a great helper.

I pulled out the top of the exersaucer today when cleaning out a closet and Ruth sat down right in the middle and kept herself entertained for a while. Obviously Sydney thought it was fun, too

7 years of buying and storing boy clothes comes to an end after we found out we were having another girl. Just over 7 garbage bags full (with two bags worth already given away and some sentimental items taken out). Lots of storage space was freed up!

There were a lot of baseball games in April!

An action shot of Wes at his first baseball game with Coach Hanks watching proudly.

Happy Oreo cookie face!

Brian, Sydney, and I were outside weeding. Ruth plopped down in the wet dirt and had a great time playing and getting dirty.

There was a free day at the YMCA where you could try anything they offered. It took some convincing, but Wes finally tried rock climbing and he had fun!

Since we bribed Wes with a special drink (we ended up going to Sonic), Sydney wanted one, too. They both did well!

After rock climbing, we went swimming. Ruth could not wait to get into the pool!

The kids had a great time!

When we were walking from the car to get the older kids from gymnastics and she had to bring her book along. She loves books just like the rest of us! She looks like such a big girl in this picture.
