Happy St. Pat's!

If you haven't tried these sugar cookies yet, you really should! I used St. Patrick's Day as an excuse to make them again. Wes really liked rolling them out, cutting out the cookies, and of course, eating the cookie dough! It was an added bonus to have temps in the high 60s today, too!

In other news...

Are we getting to this point already? Oh man, this could get interesting! I love how her eyes stay locked on the airplane the whole time.

Outside! And Sydney's First Feeding

The other day I decided to try Sydney on rice cereal now that she's 5 months. She cried. :) My sensitive little girl. I decided not to be as stressed about it as I was with Wes so we've only tried it twice so far.
Anyone like see-food?

Everyday Wes has three things that he constantly asks me that he always "desperately" wants: 1) "Juice please?", 2) "Outside? Mom! Outside?", and 3) "Choo-train shows?" When I say "no", or "not right now" to any of these, it usually leads to begging, pleading, and sometimes tantrums. The other day I decided to video tape it because I thought it was funny. (Is that mean?) In the video above Wes had just woken up from his nap. Normally he eats lunch before his nap but didn't this day so he was hungry and still tired. (By the way, after we taped this and he watched it, it actually helped his mood!)

What to do when the weather's in the 40s and the sun is shining? Get Blizzards, of course! Then play outside!

Brian and I were lucky enough to get to go on a date two weekends in a row! We went to a UofM hockey game. It was really fun even though I think hockey is kind of brutal.

The UofM team is really good and beat Western Michigan 5 to 3.

I really enjoy UofM sports (the 2 games I've ever been to) because the fans are so into games. They have cheers for every situation. It's great! My favorite from this game was: to help the final countdown of each period, when the clock was at 1:05, the crowd would say:
1:05 - "How"
1:04 - "Much"
1:03 - "Time"
1:02 - "Is"
1:01 - "Left?"
Then the announcer said:
1:00 - "One minute left of playing time."
Then the crowd would say, in unison, "Thank you!"
So polite! Love it.
Thanks for the great date, baby! :)

After church on Sunday, the Hoopers organized a little picnic at the park behind our house. (After all, it was in the high 40s and the sun was shining at 5:30pm!) They invited all the LDS MBA families in our little neighborhood. Here are Brian and Laura Hall and Andrea.

Jonelle, Carter, Marti, and Sydney.

Cute close-up of my girl. I think she's so cute! :)

Brian had a rare chance to play with a dog! These ladies were just out on a walk. The one closest to us on the bench is Yaffit. Her daughter is 6 days older than Sydney and her husband, Michael, has been in a couple classes and groups with Brian.

Felix, Hayden and Wes had a great time running around the playground and following each other around. It was a great break for their parents!

Here's Wes pushing Hayden in the stroller.

Sydney enjoyed the outdoors too! She really liked me doing sit-ups for her! :)
