For Easter Saturday, when the bunny came, we were in Puyallup. We drove back to Seattle later that day and stopped by the house of one of Brian's former Scout Masters from when he lived in Kent. On Sunday, we went to our ward because I had been assigned to speak (just me, the Bishop, and four musical numbers).
| On Friday, we stopped by the new frozen yogurt spot in Puyallup, Menchie's. This store is owned by the Young Men's President in my parents' ward. |
| It's right by Target, so we headed over there for a few things. I got to push the cart with the boys and Lanie! |
| After dinner, the kids dyed some Easter eggs. |
| So many to choose from! |
| Here are some of the results of the kids' hard work. |
| In the morning, the kids found the Easter bunny had come and brought them some things. I even got a "basket" of flowers. |
| All of the kids got some fun things! |
| Wes and Mitchell both got these swords and played with them the rest of the morning. |
| Sydney was very excited about her pink things...especially here sparkle shoes! |
| Mitchell and Madison had a great time discovering their treasures as well! |
| Then, it was time for the Easter egg hunt! |
| Looking all over... |
| Still looking... |
| Ta-da! Candy galore! Sydney actually woke up sick this day, but that didn't stop her from enjoying all the candy and good times. |
| Then Lanie got a chance to check out her basket. |
| I think she enjoyed the experience! :) |
| We stopped in Bonney Lake for an outdoor Easter egg hunt. It was an amazing Easter Saturday and it was wonderful being outside. |
| This hunt was unique because there was real cash in all of the plastic eggs! |
| The kids had a great time and even got really excited every time they found the hard-boiled eggs. |
| The kids ended up with $20 each! Don't worry, we didn't steal it from them. We let Wes go buy a candy bar for him and Sydney later that evening and we're saving the rest for them. |
| Sydney zonked out on the car ride home - at about 4:30pm - and then slept the rest of the night. Quite a party day for a sick 3-year-old! |
| Sunday was nice because it was very low-key with the bunny stuff already being over. The kids got dressed in their Sunday best (Sydney loves her new pink dress!) and then went to Sacrament meeting so the kids could sing with the Primary and I could speak (which was great since I got to sit on the stand sans kids and really absorb the program). We came home after that, though, since Sydney still wasn't 100%. |
We had a fabulous Easter and were especially grateful for the sunny weekend!
