While You Were Out: Home Office Edition

Brian left town the evening of his birthday, so while he was gone, I - with the help of my sister and her fam - decorated Brian's office. It was a crazy three days for me, trying to get everything done while taking care of the kids, but it worked out. Ruth (and Claire) spent a lot of time in the car those mornings! They were troopers.

This is a "before" picture. I actually forgot to take a picture before we moved the desk and got rid of the hutch.

You can see the room was bare bones. So boring for a man who works from home!

Halloween 2014

On Thursday, the 30th, we went to our old ward's trunk-or-treat and chili cook-off and then on Halloween we went to our ward's trunk-or-treat and then did trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. It was fun to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood this year so we could meet our neighbors. Plus, it was a low-key and quiet night since there aren't very many kids in our neighborhood.

I dressed Claire up as an "e-Claire" (eclair) for Halloween.

Halloween morning, the kids got some books, stickers, and cereal.

For dinner, the kids helped make mummy dogs.

Sydney was dressed as Pikachu from Pokemon and Wes was dressed as Ginga (jean-guh) from Bey Blades.

Pumpkin Patch 2014

We went to the pumpkin patch on October 13th. Our October weather was amazing...beautiful and warm! We went with our friends, the Miners.

Ruth was an instant fan of pumpkins. Unfortunately she wasn't quite strong enough to lift them by herself.
