Wesley's 5th Birthday

I'm having a hard time adjusting to Blogger's new formatting so everything's taking me about twice as long to post and I'm already 2 weeks behind!

So, without further ado, here is the 5th birthday in pictures of the super lucky and loved Wesley Brian...

Wes and Dad picture on the Sunday before his birthday.

Wes had Spring Break on his birthday, but Sydney was still in school so Wes and I had a morning date to McDonald's. For some reason, he really wanted to play in the play place all by himself and, at nine o'clock in the morning, he definitely had the place to himself!

Another request was a milkshake. After that, we got his 5-year pictures taken and he was on a sugar high! Also note: he's wearing the CTR ring he got in Primary for his birthday.

We picked up Troy and Sydney from preschool, went home for lunch and then went to the Creation Station in Lynnwood. Basically, the kids can make-and-take whatever they want out of the available recycled materials. The boys had a great time using their creativity to make bow and arrows, planes, cars, and trains while Sydney made a heart and flower. :)

We then went home to open presents and have cake. Wes is holding the Spiderman balloon that we got him.

Blowing out the FIVE candles!
Here's the cake: DOGS!
And he's 5!

Troy was very excited that Wes got this game since his birthday was the week before and he had an Angry Birds party.

I love the kids' excited faces in this picture.

Funny that they're more excited about the candy than the five dollar bill!

A light saber!

A special gift from Sydney: a new brown dog! His name is Truffles.

Big thank you hugs!
We had a second mini celebration when we went down to Puyallup on Wednesday for dental appointments and to spend the weekend. LOVE this picture.

Wes had his first experience with using a coin to scratch off the silver stuff and reveal a picture underneath. In this case it was: "Who is chasing Lightning McQueen?"

What? More presents?!? Wes has loved his first Lego experience.
Thank you kisses for Grandma Swensen!
