Summer Visit To Puyallup

And now back to August 8th through the 17th, 2013.

We went to Seattle to visit my parents. Brian worked while we were there, so mostly we just hung around the house. It was nice to have the down time before school started up again.

My favorite mountain!

Grandma Swensen with Princess Ruth.

Ruth's mouth is wide open in anticipation of the food!

We went to the Puyallup Farmer's Market on Saturday.

Hawaiian keiki performing some dances at the Farmer's Market.

We took the older kids to see Planes in the theater. A rare treat!

Brian having a little chat with Ruth.

We met up with my BFF from high school, Jessika and her husband, Steinar, for dinner one night.

We've been friends for a long time!

Ruthie's first pony tail! (She was about 6 months here.)

The kids wanted me to take their picture.

Wes had a "power band" (label) on his wrist...hence this pose.

Sydney's into posing for pictures. Also, she made that paperclip necklace she's wearing.

We had to get Menchies to show our support to the YM President in my Dad's ward who owns a bunch of locations in the area.

Wes practicing the piano at Grandma Swensen's house.

We went in the hot tub a couple of times. It's relaxing with a great view!

We went to Pike's Place Market one day.

Ruthie with Grandpa Swensen.

Brian bought the kids a twisty balloon. Good thing so we could get this cute picture of Sydney!

My dad bought some doughnuts and we let Ruth try some. I think she was a fan.

Our family. (Wes got a little blocked off thanks to Sydney's pose.)

Ruth just hanging out while we rode the Monorail.

Unfortunately, the fountain wasn't spraying up, but the kids still got to check it out.

I wasn't sure how I felt about Ruth having tummy time on a fast food bench, but I guess it's probably better than the table or floor.

Sydney had fun creating fashions on the way home in the Barbie notebook Grandma gave her before we left.

After 9-ish hours in the car, we got home and went for a walk. Ruth looks pretty cool! :)
