Fathers and Sons (& Sydney)

We went to Fathers and Sons at Ensign Ranch up in the Cascades while Natalie was down in San Diego. Ensign Ranch makes camping about as easy as you can get. The kids were pretty excited to be sleeping in a tent.
Tightrope walking. Learning balance.

Wes enjoyed horseback riding. He started nervous, but ended having fun after trusting the horse. He thought it would run, but saw I had the "controller" (lead rope) and was assured the horse would obey me.

Sydney knew better and didn't trust her dad to hold back a 1,000 pound animal with one arm.

Canoeing was happier.

I remember my dad dropping us kids off on this floating dock when we were kids. We jumped out of the canoe so fast he tipped. I held on to the side tightly as the kids got in and out.

Riding the Bremerton Ferry

Since we hadn't taken the kids on a ferry ride yet, we decided to take the ferry from Bremerton to Seattle on our way home from Puyallup last weekend. The kids had a fabulous time and their enthusiasm made the extra time it took to get home well worth the effort.

Brian and the kids as we were leaving Bremerton.

Happy girl!

It was bit windy, but the kids were having a great time exploring the ship.

We attempted to take a picture, but unfortunately, the sun was right in the kids' eyes.

Pretty Sydney with a pretty view.

Brian took a picture of him and Wes.

It was a perfect day for a ferry ride. What a beautiful landscape!

Sydney and her momma.

Wes and his momma (and apparently a red-haired ninja kid).

Sydney tried to explore the seagulls, but they took off.

Getting closer to Seattle...

The Seattle skyline.

Me and the kids with the Seattle skyline. Look at Sydney's hair! Goodness!
