Sydney's Last Day of Preschool 2012

Thanks to impending moves and babies, we had the last day of Sydney's preschool co-op on April 25th. It's been so great for all of the kids and they have learned and grown so much over the last seven months. We celebrated the last day with a preschool potluck picnic.

Since it was raining, we had our picnic indoors.

The kids were getting ready to show us the "Pea Pod Dance" they had learned that morning.

Sydney took her turn jumping into the pea pod!

We tried to get a picture of the class, but it turned out a little silly. (L to R: Claire, Sydney, Troy, Lily, and Caius; Owen, Lily's brother, is on the chair)

Sydney with all of her teachers. (L to R: Tenley, Natalie, Jana, and Sally) I just realized you could probably match the kids in the previous picture to their moms in this picture. (Caius is the only one whose mom wasn't a teacher.) I'm really going to miss these ladies!

A Weekend Trip to Victoria, Canada

On Friday, April 20th, Brian and I left the kids with my parents for a couple days, drove out to Port Angeles, and took the ferry to Victoria, B.C. It was a bit of a 2nd honeymoon since we stayed in the same hotel, which was fun (however, it was a shorter trip and a different time of year).

On the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria, B.C.

No kids on a long ferry ride? Sounds like a great time for a nap! :)

Coming into the beautiful port in Victoria. We arrived in the afternoon and mostly wandered around downtown and then ate dinner.

On Saturday, we walked around again since it was so beautiful outside.

Brian was imitating a whale, much to the delight of passerby.

We decided to go to the boat show to see how "the other half" lives. To me, the boats were just glorified RVs. One of the show ladies also described it as "a floating apartment with an ocean view".

Basking in the sun on the dock of a boat. :)

A view of the Parliament Building and the amazing flowers that were in bloom all over the city.

Victoria was so beautiful and it was fun to get away for a couple of days. Thanks to my parents for taking such great care of our kiddos!
