Fun With Family!

We've been in Kaysville now since Wednesday and we've been having a lot of fun! Craig came up from Provo and Janna and Tyler came down from Rexburg to hang out with us. Then on Saturday, we all went up to Park City to go to a lake at the camp that Sara has been working at for the summer. Once again we missed Kevin and Naomi this weekend!

On Friday Mom, Janna, Craig, Brian, Wes and I went bowling (Tyler and Sara weren't here yet). Cute Grandma and Grandson!

Craig showing his moves.

Janna in motion.

Me looking awesome after letting the ball roll. :/ We all actually did amazingly well. I bowled probably my best game ever - and pregnant! I decided that's my new winning strategy (even though I came in second to Brian, of course).

Grandma helping Wes bowl. He had a great time playing, watching, clapping, and saying, "ohhh" with the rest of us.

Oh my gosh, is this not the biggest maple bar you've ever seen? This picture is specifically a shout out to my sister Angie. It totally made me think of that hamburger we've always wanted to make!

This was on Saturday up at Camp Cloud Rim. Brian went kayaking after passing his swim test!

Wes really wanted to go in the water, but Dad didn't want to get back in after his swim test. Apparently it was too cold (I never tested it out). The weather was so great up there at an elevation of 7,200 feet.

Grandpa, Wes, and Brian on the paddle boat. Wes' life jacket was sort of taking over his little face in this picture.

The rest of us stopped by the outlets in Park City while Grandpa took Wes home. When we came home we found the two of them playing with the hose. Wes was very happy about it!

Cute little diaper man!

Needless to say, Wes has been very spoiled since we got here! Here's Uncle Tyler feeding Wes some of his ice cream...yah, he's kind of a mooch.

This is the Jell-o flag that Mom made for dinner the other night. Everyone thought it was really cool and creative, so Brian took a picture of it. She thought we were making fun of her about it, but it really was cool and totally added to the dinner!

From Dallas to Utah...and 29 Weeks!

On Tuesday the 22nd, Brian and I checked out of our rental in Dallas at 8am and drove up to Wes' 15-month appointment. Wes was 30.5 inches tall (25%), his head was 18.25 inches (20%), and he weighed a whopping 20 lbs. 14.5 ounces (15%). Yep, he's pretty small!

After that appointment, I got my Rhogam shot since I'm O- (fun!) and then we met Brandon, Lisa, and Isabella for breakfast at The Original Pancake House. (Highly recommended breakfast place - check one out if you have one near you!)

Around noon, we hit the road for our journey to Kaysville! We stopped just north of Denver on Tuesday night (at 2am). On Wednesday morning we got up at 6:30am - thanks to our 2 and a half-foot-high alarm clock - and drove the rest of the way. We arrived around 5:00pm! Quite a long drive, but we're happy to be here!

Before we left Dallas, Wes and I went with Melanie and Zoe to the Dallas Art Museum. This is a picture of Wes and Zoe on chairs made of cardboard. We're going to miss them! (Wes may not remember Zoe, but I'm going to miss Melanie!)

Wes and Zoe had a great time playing in the kids' room while Melanie and I just relaxed and chatted!

As we were rearranging furniture and cleaning up, Wes' pack-n-play got turned on its side and he loved playing in it that way. It was like a whole new adventure - and hiding place - for him!

Wes was a good sport on our long drive! You can tell he was smashed between a lot of stuff (after all, we went to Dallas with 2 cars and drove to Kaysville with 1). He liked playing with the twine above his head that was holding down the carrier attached to the top of the car.

And here's me at 29 weeks! A bit larger than 25 weeks. Here are 21 weeks and 17 weeks! It's hard to believe I only have 9 to 13 weeks to go (since Wes came almost 2 weeks early).

It's fun to notice differences between my pregnancies. For example, I could always feel Wes' back and he'd always get the hiccups in the same place. With Sydney, she pokes me a lot - with what feels like an elbow - right next to my belly button...and it kind of hurts! Also, as my mom noticed, I'm carrying Sydney lower than I did Wes which actually makes sitting more comfortable, but I can't put my feet up as comfortably. It's funny how different babies are in the womb!
