Roll Over, Roll Over 2G

Yah, it's cold here. It's true. Apparently it's one of the top 10 worst winters in history. Lucky us! :) But really, it's not usually that bad for me. I run in the stuff even! I think the past two Chicago winters helped a ton in getting me ready for this Ann Arbor winter.

Here's cute little Sydney ready to walk a block down the street. Too bad she thinks she can't breathe when it's cold and windy outside!

About a week ago Sydney rolled over twice in a row for the first time. That's what Wes did and then he didn't roll over again for a while. However, two days ago Sydney rolled over again. Sometimes she gets stuck on her side though. It's cool that we still thoroughly enjoy the things our second child learns as she grows.

PS: Sydney's been getting her arms out of her Kiddopotamus at night - we went back to that after she was getting out of her "straight jacket" (Miracle Blanket). It might not be a huge deal, but her little hands get freezing cold and probably aid in waking her up. (No more 10 hour nights the last couple of nights!) Anyone have any tips for keeping her hands warm outside of a swaddle?

Baldy Boy

Last Sunday (the 18th), Brian's dad took the train from Chicago after helping Kevin and Naomi move in to their new place in Downers Grove. (Yay!) He stayed until Tuesday evening which was perfect because Brian had Monday off due to MLK day.

We all had a lot of fun with him - especially Wes! He's been asking, "Papa?" ever since he left. And now he constantly says, "Mom, choo-chain?" and points looking for a choo-choo train. He'll listen for it and I'll say, "No, I don't hear a train." And then he says, "Hiiiing?" Meaning, "Is it hiding?" Trains are his new obsession.

Our cute little kids. Sydney is getting pretty strong! Wes' hair was getting super long, so I decided to just cut it all off. That way I wouldn't have to cut it again for a while!





Look at that kid's curl! He has SO much hair. I always get that comment when I get my haircut, too. Must be my kid. :)

We had a dessert night on Saturday at our place with some of the MBA families that we're friends with here. Here are the kids. We've had 2 additions since the last time we took a kid picture. L to R: Carter (11 mo.), Jack (9 weeks), Wes (21 mo.), Sydney (3 mo.), and Hayden (16 mo.). We sure do have a lot of fun all together!
