First 10 Days of June 2010

I'm super behind in posting, so I'm grouping the first week and a half of June into one post. Maybe I'll catch up before the end of July!

On June 1st, we hung out at Angie and Eliot's for a while. Sydney had a great time trying on Nathan's cool hat.

Sydney giving Uncle Mike a high-five.

After hitting the gym and taking naps on the 1st, we headed up to Brian's parents' house. On June 3rd, Grandma Hanks helped Wes make this snowman sandwich for lunch (at his request).

Later that night, Grandpa read books to the blue-eyed babes before bed.

On June 4th, Wes and Sydney "helped" Grandma make cupcakes...or was it the other way around?

On Saturday, June 5th, we hiked Adam's Canyon.

I thought the kids would like hiking, but they wanted to be carried pretty much the entire time.

Apparently, the kids needed a break from all the shoulder riding.

The water was too high to cross without getting wet, so Brian and I just climbed the rock to see the waterfall.

Later that day Mom Hanks treated the girls to pedicures. Naomi was in town for her sister's sealing so Sara came up and Janna came down. Fun girls' time!

Pretty toes!

Pretty ladies!

Grandma and Grandpa went all out and set up the splash park for the impromtu family reunion (minus Kevin and Brooklyn, unfortunately). I don't think Audrey was a fan.

I think Lily wasn't sure what to think, but knew she didn't want to drown. :) Sydney and Wes had a great time playing in the water!

Grandpa did a great job taking care of all the kids. As you can see, he's a great multi-tasker: he can hold a wiggling Audrey and nap at the same time!

My newest nieces: Audrey (about 4.5 months) and Lily (almost 4 months). Cute baby girls!

On June 8th, Wes and Sydney watched Cosma eat her special food. Pretty exciting!

Moving Road Trip: Day 6

On Monday, May 31st, we enjoyed our time at the Edward Partridge Memorial Day Breakfast in Oak City, UT. My extended family puts on this free breakfast each year and it's always a hit with the surrounding communities. After breakfast, we visited the cemetery where a lot of my family has been buried.

Lydia, Madison, Mitchell, Brian, Sydney and Wes all enjoying their breakfast.

The menu is always the same: sourdough pancakes, ham, egg, milk, and Tang.

Wes thought he was so funny eating his ham like this. :)

Henry, Jack, Wes, and Lydia were all born within two months and four days of each other. (We missed Owen in the picture who was also born in that time frame.)

Cousins Madison (with the sucker) and Wes were having a great time on the tire swing.

Sydney was trying to decide if she wanted to go down the slide.

I think this was the kids' first experience with a cemetery. I tried to keep Wes from driving his cars on the headstones...

Trying to get a picture of the cousins at Great Grandpa Smith's headstone.

Family picture. Since I was eight months pregnant with Sydney when my grandpa died, this was the first time any of us was able to see his grave.

Sydney holding hands with mamma.

Family picture with Grandma Great (Smith).

Future missionary: we plan on taking a picture just like it when he's 19 (hopefully he'll be in a suite and tie then).
