| Brian and I went on a hike one evening for our date night the day before I left for Disney World. It was a wee bit sunny for Ruth. |

| One evening we were outside as a family and the kids were playing together and they told us they had a surprise for us and that we should follow the arrows. So Brian and I followed the arrows and just as we stepped outside the gate, it occurred to me what was happening. Our sneaky kids were going to try and shut us outside the fence. I actually thought it was pretty hilarious since they weren't being malicious in any way. They were just being clever and creative. |

| When I was preparing my lesson about Edward Partridge, the first Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I made these family trees so I could show my class how I was related to him. The kids thought it was cool and wanted ones with their own names on them so we had an impromptu family history lesson. |

interestingly, I taught the lesson on the day before Memorial Day, which
was significant because each year the my extended family hosts the
Edward Partridge Memorial Day Breakfast in Oak City, Utah. I gave each of the kids in my class (and the Bishop and the Relief Society president) a jar of sourdough pancake start. |

| This is my 14-year-old nephew who is taller than me! And I'm taller than average. What the heck?! |

| The last day of school really sneaked up on me. Holy cow. This was the teacher gift for Mrs. Gibson, Wes' teacher. It may be my "go-to" gift for the future: grapefruit all-purpose house cleaner, grapefruit hand soap, Godiva chocolates, eos lip balm, and a note from Wes. |
