On Father's Day (June 15th), we drove to Island Park, ID and met Brian's brother, Kevin, and his family there at a cabin so we could play at Yellowstone. Kevin and Naomi had to come all the way from Chicago to hang out with us and we are so grateful they made the drive! It was so fun to see them, hang out with them, chat and laugh with them, and let the kids play. Despite the rain we encountered, it was still great fun!
These pictures are from our first full day, Monday, June 16th.

When we first got into Yellowstone for the day, it was pouring rain. Luckily, the rain let up in time for us to see Old Faithful go off!

Brian and Ruth. Cute and cute.

Our family with the geyser.
|
Ruth daintily reading during one of our drives with her feet crossed. Cuteness.

Because of the rain, we weren't able to do a fire pit outside, but it actually worked out better, in my opinion, since we had a wood-burning stove inside. It was nice to be out of the dirt, rain, and cold and still be able to roast hot dogs and make s'mores.

The kids enjoying their dinner (minus Ruth, I guess).

S'mores and a movie (How to Train Your Dragon).

Kevin and Brian were obviously into the movie while roasting away.
