Helpers

It's too bad kids want to help clean when they can't really do it. Then, they stop wanting to help when they actually can!

Bunny Comparison

My mom sent this bunny to Sydney last year for Easter. Here's a comparison of her at (about) 6 months and 18 months:

I think one of the most obvious changes is her hair. :)

Easter Activities

I had to do two separate posts since I had so many fun pictures from the weekend. Here are all the Easter festivities.

On Saturday, the housing complex had an Easter brunch at the clubhouse. It was a bit of a rainy walk!

Brian and Kevin had just returned from running, hence the super reflective jacket Brian's wearing. Here he is helping Wes dye Easter eggs.

I decided Sydney should have a snack instead of dye eggs...slightly cleaner. :)

We didn't intend for the kids to all wear yellow, but it was pretty cute. Someone thought they were triplets...not quite!

Super cute Brooklyn with bunny ears!

They had the Easter egg hunt indoors because of the rain.

One egg for each hand!

The TV was on (Handy Manny, maybe?)...can you tell? Wes is sucked in.

On Sunday morning, the kids woke up around 6:00am, but Brooklyn was still sleeping. Brian kept them entertained by having them do an Easter bunny dance. Sydney wasn't very happy about it.

Since this was her 3rd egg hunt, Sydney knew exactly what to do and what was inside the eggs. She had a lot of candy that morning!

Wes didn't care so much about the egg hunt but was really into the Lightning McQueen present he got from the Easter Bunny!

We kept trying to get him to find Easter eggs, but he didn't care even if there was candy in them. I guess he had hunted twice previously so he figured he had enough candy.

Sydney opened the bunny crackers that she received in her Easter basket and then relaxed and ate them up.

We had a great Easter and hope everyone else did too!

Weekend in Chicagoland

For General Conference/Easter, we drove to Lisle, Illinois to see Kevin, Naomi, Brooklyn, and meet our new niece, Lily.

Wes was so cute with Lily. She mostly slept (she's only 7 weeks old), but he really liked looking at her and being by her. It was pretty cute.

We took a quick trip to the mall and since Wes knows he has to hold hands in the parking lot, he thought holding Brooklyn's hand would be sufficient. (I still held Brooklyn's hand too.)

The kids went to the library with their dads and then watched a movie they had picked out.

They played with sidewalk chalk outside, but Brian taught Sydney how to draw on the brick wall. I told him he was training her to become a graffiti artist!

Super cool Aunt Naomi traced an outline of the kids. Wes wanted to do it multiple times.

Cousins picture (we missed baby Audrey)! I love Brooklyn's face. Nine months separate Sydney, Brooklyn, and Wes. Lily is about 16 months younger than Sydney.

I love the look of concentration on both of their faces. Wes was trying to do a balance game on the Wii Fit (the one where you get the balls in the holes on the platform) and was struggling alone so Brian decided to help him out.

Sleepy Lily...7-month-old babies don't do much but sleep and look cute!
