Making a Difference

Join the club! http://www.nocussing.com/home.html It's becoming an international organization. Pretty amazing what a 14-year-old (LDS) kid can do!

More Fun in Chicagoland!

Grandma and Grandpa Hanks came to visit us last week and we had a fun time showing them the sights downtown. And of course we got tons done while they were here, as usual. (Brian mostly with his essays: THANKS MOM!)

Here are some pictures from our adventures. There are quite a few, but I like to put them all in instead of a slideshow so you can see them at quick glance. (Some of the pictures didn't turn out that great though...we miss our digital camera.)

This is actually from when Brooke and Alex were here, but I thought it was a cute Wes pic.

Grandpa Hanks, Wes and Brian in front of a real German U-Boat at the Museum of Science and Industry. It's the U-505 that the US captured during WWII.

Wes on Brian's shoulders taking a pause from finger biting for a quick pic.

Wes is at the stage where everything he can get his hands on is going into his mouth. One of his favorites is a water bottle because it's relatively easy.

This picture is for my Grandpa Smith since he loves trains. This was a pretty cool one in the museum.

Brian and I are standing in front of a replica of downtown Chicago. It was actually quite amazing.

Wes with Grandma Hanks.

This is our little family on the Architectural Tour boat with downtown Chicago in the background.

This pic is for my bro-in-law, Eliot, because this building is going up on the Chicago River is by Clark Construction (see banner in blue) and he works for Clark Realty.

Grandpa, Wes, and Grandma on the boat tour.

Brian, Mom Hanks, and Dad Hanks posing under the "big bean" (that has a real name, I just can't remember what it is).

Where Brian's hoping to get in for Fall '08 MBA (University of Chicago). And he is crossing his fingers even though it at first glance it's hard to tell...

Brian and me with my new favorite shirt. :) We were walking along downtown and I saw it in the window and we all decided I had to get it. Of course, it's a Bears shirt and it means "Brian Urlacher," but not to me! I love it.
