Technically, Oreo celebrated its 100th birthday on March 6th, but we celebrated on March 8th, which marked two months of no treats/no desserts for me. I figured eating Oreos was a great way to break my dessert fast. After all, they're pretty much my favorite cookie.
To help others get in the cookie spirit, we got 12 of these cookie 6-packs and made a note to pass along to our neighbors and friends.
The kids actually glued and cut out the notes and then picked who we'd give them to.
A while ago I bought an Oreo-looking cake pan on clearance at Macy's, figuring it'd come in handy sometime (again, since Oreos are a family favorite) and I finally the perfect day had come! Yes, I even bought candles. :)Of course we had to sing, too! Sydney couldn't blow out the candles because she was still chewing on a carrot from dinner. If I had made a carrot cake, I may have let her give it a blow.
Then we ate cake and cookies and drank milk.
