On New Years' Day, we hopped in our car, yet again, and took to the road toward California. All was well with the traffic, etc., until about Las Vegas when we hit the New Years' Day/Sunday afternoon traffic. We still made great time, thanks Brian's great driving skills.
Brian's cousin, Tawni, and her husband, Adam, and their four children were kind enough to host us for a couple of days. We stayed there on Monday and the kids had a blast playing together.
Apparently, Sydney found Brian's camera on his phone and began taking random pictures of everyone.
I was stuck in bed the majority of the day with a stomach bug so Sydney joined me for a nap during her quiet time.
Sydney practiced her drawing skills and then took a picture of it.
Then, the day was so warm and beautiful that the kids were able to play in the pool. They actually used the hot tub (not as hot though) as the kids' pool and it worked great.
The kids had such a great time playing together and it was so nice to get outside and soak up some sun!
