3rd Week of Summer 2013

These pictures are from June 13th to June 21st. I forgot to include the first picture from our trip to Utah.

My Dad with Ruth while we were in Utah.

Just a picture of Ruth grabbing her toes...it's the "happy baby" yoga pose.

Wes taking pictures of Ruth on my bed.

Sleepy sister relaxing in the play gym. I actually love when she relaxes like this. I think it's so sweet looking for some reason.

I let the kids plant some seeds in the garden. Sydney was very diligent about weeding her portion...unlike the rest of us! I think she may have inadvertently pulled her flowers out though, since I never saw them sprout.

Gardening has been an experiment for me this year, since I've never had the opportunity to do it before in any of our homes. Wes picked a plant and it started to take over the garden bed so we transplanted it. And it (along with pumpkin plants) are definitely taking over that portion of the yard.

A bike ride around the block.

Ruth fell asleep on my lap. This was at 4 months. This doesn't happen anymore. :)

Summer snacks...so delicious!

The little one fell asleep on our walk.

Post-bath baby. She looks so chubby in this picture! I was trying to get a pic of the potential curly hair.

The older kids started swimming lessons this summer. Basically, they learned how to go under water without freaking out. Hopefully next year they'll make more progress!

Wes' turn to jump in the pool!

Sydney going down the slide.

Wes slipping down the slide.

Thanks to our date nights with the kids, we go to Krispy Kreme a lot and have had these hats in our house a lot. The kids love bringing them home!

Ruth went through a stage where she'd always scootch her thumbs into her mouth while she was sucking on her bottle. Here's my attempt at getting a picture of it.

Brian worked so hard to pick all of these small strawberries from our garden. They looked amazing but they tasted like nothing. Not sweet, not sour...just nothing. Such a bummer!

I helped the kids make sundials.

We went to play tennis with our friends, the Bairds. It was actually SO chilly. We were all freezing as we ate our ice cream bars. However, within the next couple of days we started hitting the 100 degree temps!
