Misc. Pics

Every so often, I need just post a bunch of pictures that haven't been posted for one reason or another. So, here is that post.

Wes and Sydney both finished their gymnastics classes (a couple of months ago) and they each got a plastic medal for their accomplishments. They were super excited for their awards. :)

One morning, I taped streamers in our front room (idea found on Pinterest). The kids had a great time going through them.

I had the idea of making specialized spray bottles (with their names, even) of vinegar water to have the kids help me clean the floor. Of course, they think it's a treat since they get to use a spray bottle. On this day, it was Wes' first experience and Sydney had previously helped me, so I told Sydney she had a special job: to clean the bathroom floor. She looked at me with complete sincerity and said, "Thank you!" :) SO funny. Granted, they don't do a fantastic job, but something's better than nothing!

Sydney decided to put this apron on to play one day. I thought she looked really cute with her curls poking out. It's true though, she does love to bake!

One sunny spring day, we went to the park after preschool to have lunch and play with our friends Tenley, Troy, and Carson.

For Uncle Craig's birthday, we let each of the kids pick out a present from the dollar store to give him. Wes was sure that Uncle Craig would love his plastic FBI kit. However, I think that Wes really just wanted to give it to Uncle Craig so that he would let Wes play with it.

Sydney picked out a treat for Uncle Craig. I love the look on her face. I think she really likes giving gifts.

Sydney had some fun trying to play with Craig and Sara's cat, Walter. The kids love Walter!

One beautiful afternoon, Brian and I dropped the kids off at a birthday party and then went to read at Greenlake with a bunch of other Seattle-ites.

I saw this one day on a truck while waiting to pick up our Bountiful Basket. I couldn't agree more. :)

This is a picture of the kids just hanging out at the Puyallup Library.

I received my new donor card in the mail...I always knew I was special. :)

We went to the mall to get some summer shoes for the kids so Sydney and I introduced Wes and Brian to pink cookies at the Nordstrom e-bar. This is Sydney's favorite part of shopping with me. And, while Wes claims the only color he doesn't like is pink, he still ate the cookie. :)

Mother's Day Weekend

For Mother's Day weekend, we went down to Puyallup so I could be with my mom to celebrate (oddly, though, I didn't take any pictures with her). On Saturday, my dad made "Rollie Polies" (Swedish Pancakes) and then we all went to the Puyallup Farmers' Market in the morning. From there, the girls went shopping and the boys went to Costco and then home to watch Star Wars.

On Sunday, we went to church, my dad and Brian made dinner, and then my mom and I opened our presents.

Sydney enjoying her breakfast.

It was a beautiful day at the Farmer's Market.

Brian was bouncing the kids. It's a great workout for his legs, I think! :)
We took a drive up to Enumclaw to get a family picture with Mt. Rainier.

Cool picture, right? I love that mountain.

Wes made this hand-print fish towel at his playschool. Sydney had made one, too, but she had already given it to me as soon as she got in the car after class.

Happy Mother with my two loving kiddos!

Union Oil Marsh Field Trip

On May 9th, Wesley's preschool class had a field trip to the Union Oil Marsh. It was a beautiful day, but a bit cold. It was still great fun for me to watch Wes be social with his school friends, since I rarely get to see that.

It was a pretty view, even with the housing in the background.

Sydney was cold and wanted to just sit in the car and wait for the field trip to be over, so I wrapped my scarf around her. I'm not sure what the kids were looking at during this picture.

One of Wesley's best preschool friends, Elsa, jumped in for a picture.

I thought it was so cute when a bunch of the kids huddled around to see what Mrs. Robbins, Wes' preschool teacher, was showing them.
