Meridian City Block Party

On September 14, 2013 we went to the Meridian City Block Party. We had a great time in the near-perfect weather. It did start getting a bit warm as the morning progressed, but it was fun, nonetheless.

Sydney going down the bounce house slide. Kids sure LOVE these things!

And Wes' turn.

Wes taking his turn trying to get the baseball into the hole. He actually won a football from playing a similar game. I was so impressed...and he was so proud of himself.

Sydney got her face painted. Of course. It's like her favorite thing to do ever.

Brian and Sydney enjoying their free hot dogs and drinks.

Fairview Ward Campout 2013

On September 13th, 2013 our ward had their annual campout. We went up for dinner and to hang out, but chose not to spend the night. It was a bit of a rainy evening, but the kids still had a great time!

Ruth wasn't sure what to make of the whole thing...and all of the people she didn't know.

Brian took it upon himself to start the fire.

He did it!

I forgot a jacket for Ruthie. Whoops!

Sydney having dinner with the Collett girls.

Wes having dinner with a friend, Megan.

Ruth with her daddy by the light of the campfire.

Brian and his little girls.

Our 8th Anniversary

Brian and I celebrated our 8th anniversary on September 10th. I decided to do a "fancy" dinner with the kids before Brian and I went on a little date. We went on a bike ride along the Boise green belt and then had smoothies afterward.

I sure am glad I married Brian. I love looking back at our eight years and seeing how much we have done and progressed as a couple over the relatively short time that we've been married. I'm definitely a lucky girl.

What made this dinner fancy: a candle, a tablecloth, and non-plastic plate and cups for the kids.

It was a beautiful evening to go biking. Our anniversary is a great day!

Ruth Coming Out of Her Sickness

Finally, after two trips to Urgent Care (which I had never been to before), one trip to the pediatrician (which actually happened to be a routinely scheduled appointment), and many texts back-and-forth with my sisters asking their advice when Ruth's temperature hit 104, she started coming out of it. I had to document a mini smile we got on September 5th. But you can tell she still wasn't 100% in the pictures. Then, there was a pic of me giving her a kiss on the 8th. She didn't seem to care too much about it. :)

A smile! I was so happy when I got this out of her.

Interacting with her toys!

You can still see a bit of her red eye from being sick.

I don't think she cares, but I didn't mind. :)
